Automatic Door Technician Apprentice

JOB SUMMARY

Successful candidate must currently reside in the Moncton New Brunswick area.

The position of automatic door technician helper is responsible for assisting the automatic door technician with on-site installation and repair of automatic doors, sliding doors, and manual doors in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. As a member of our service team, you will provide high-quality customer service to our clients throughout New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and parts of Nova Scotia. The candidate will assist in performing new installations, preventative maintenance, service, and emergency maintenance. Must be willing to travel and be away from home at nights.

This position has the potential of being promoted to an Automatic Technician.

JOB DUTIES:

Assist in installing, servicing, and repairing automatic door operators, doors, sliding doors, and door hardware.
Maintain company tools and other property
Maintaining good customer relations and customer service
Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must speak Proficient English
Speaking English and French is preferred
AAADM certification would be an asset
Strong mechanical aptitude and prior construction/maintenance experience
Strong understanding of low voltage applications is an asset
Strong troubleshooting skills and a solution provider
Able to read basic blueprints, wiring schematics and product/installation specifications is an asset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to work collaboratively with other tradespeople (in-house and in the field)
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of this industry
Good oral and written communication skills along with good customer relations and customer service skills.

Flexible with hours
Wage specified is based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1+.00-$26.00 per hour
