Designation: Master Data Manager

Shift Timing: 6.30 PM - 3.30AM IST

Location: Bangalore

Work Type: Hybrid

Job Description:

The Master Data Manager will oversee the development and implementation of data management strategies, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the company’s critical data across various systems and platforms. This position involves coordinating with different departments to harmonize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes, thereby facilitating efficient operations and informed decision-making.

Essential Job Functions may include:

• Ensure that existing governance and process documents are up to date based on changes in requirements or business needs.

• Develop foundational domain specific operational processes and reporting structures related to Master Data Management

• Manage workflow and requests in a Master Data Management platform.

• Execute on all requests from business effectively to ensure that they are implemented according to set data governance standards and processes

• As point of contact for multiple business departments across the organization, support multiple business units, address regular requests, and troubleshoot issues.

• Analyze data to troubleshoot or provide data insights and business visibility.

• Promote adoption of data governance processes by establishing clear understanding (e.g., conducting periodic refresher workshops)

• Verify all Master Data Management processes around data governance are followed

• Play an integral role in escalating requests that do not comply with the governance set by MDM.

• Build deep content knowledge around how the business end-users use this foundational data to run the business

• Lead the day-to-day operations and governance of digital assets within the DAM ensuring optimal value for the organization

• Execute reports and provides insights of the data to determine updates needed in the process and governance.

• Ability to present findings to Leadership.

• Continue to support build out of MDM organization across the enterprise.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Business, Economics, Finance or Computer Science, or an equivalent diploma.

• 5+ years of relevant MDM experience (preferably in Finance or in an IT field), with strong process, data, and systems understanding.

• Thorough knowledge of business process documentation that includes workflows, processes and requirements.

• Excellent Excel skills and strong understanding of productivity suite software (i.e. Microsoft Office).

• SQL proficiency mandatory, Snowflake environment preferred.

• Knowledge of Jira reporting and project management a strong plus.

• Ability to understand and apply instructions or suggest alternate proven methods to move projects or requests forward.

• Demonstrated capabilities in project management involving cross-functional teams.

• Excellent written and communication skills, especially regarding technical documentation.
