Senior Accountant

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory, cost accounting, and general month-end closing procedures, with proficiency in various accounting software, including Excel. Cross-border experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Assist with general accounting duties, including account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and posting, and performing back-up for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Perform month-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain continuity schedules, including the fixed asset ledger
Prepare government remittances, including sales tax
Perform regular inventory cost analysis, including the investigation of variances, costing, labour and overhead
Assist in the coordination of inventory counts
Other duties as required
Requirements

Experience in a manufacturing environment with inventory
Minimum 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience
Experience with intercompany transactions
Advanced Excel proficiency
Solid understanding of ASPE
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide direction and guidance to junior staff members
Strong attention to detail
