Orderly Dispatcher
Waitākere Hospital
Part time – Saturday and Sunday 1000-1830 hours

About the Role

This role is focused on leading the day to day operation of the Orderly Service at Waitākere Hospital.
The Dispatcher allocates all Orderly tasks evenly and fairly across the team whilst ensuring the service is delivered on time. Along with ensuring consistent non-patient and / or patient transport standards and processes, while delivering high levels of customer service in line with Organisation values and service delivery standards.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Hands-on approach and undertakes duties as required to meet service requirements, including responding to emergency calls (Resus/Code Orange) in a timely manner.
Assists staff with queries or problems as necessary, in consultation with the Clinical Support Team Leaders or Orderly and Cleaner Manager.

About you

We are looking for someone with the below skills and experience:

Leadership experience
Skilled in multi-tasking and able to use your initiative
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure whilst planning and prioritising tasks.
Ability to work methodically whether individually or within a team environment
Works with a sense of urgency and demonstrates a can-do attitude
Demonstrated cultural competence and an understanding of cultural differences when dealing with colleagues and customers.
