The Department of Education and Early Childhood Education is seeking a Curriculum and Assessment Consultant (Regular/ Full Time) to focus on K to 12 Career Education in the Senior Years Technology and Education Program Unit of the Learning and Outcomes Branch. Improving educational outcomes, supporting students and families and preparing Manitoba’s children for the careers and challenges of the future is a key department objective towards Growing Our Economy. Conditions of Employment:

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must possess or be eligible for a Manitoba Teacher's Certificate
Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required
Must have and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Qualifications:
Essential:

Bachelor of Education and extensive experience in Career Development in a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school setting. A combination of post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be considered.
Extensive experience administering/coordinating career development and transition education in Manitoba schools/school divisions or other Canadian jurisdiction.
Experience leading diverse work groups and project teams.
Ability to build relationships, foster collaboration, and develop partnerships between various educational stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to act with diplomacy and tact.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Excellent written communication skills with ability to create and edit a variety of documents with a high degree of accuracy.
Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make recommendations to inform sound decisions.
