Junior Carpenter

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Carpenter to support our growing construction team. This role is ideal for someone with basic carpentry experience who is eager to develop their skills, work alongside experienced tradespeople, and grow within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with framing, forming, finishing, and general carpentry tasks
Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials under the guidance of senior carpenters
Read and interpret basic construction drawings and plans
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
Help with site setup, cleanup, and material handling
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
Support other construction-related duties as needed
Qualifications:

1–2 years of carpentry experience or relevant construction experience
Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Safety certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, WHMIS) are an asset

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
