Retail Sales Associate/Cashier

Watson's Home Hardware Building Centre is seeking a self-motivated, team oriented and outgoing candidate to join their team in Clinton.

In this position you will:

Kindly greet customers as they come and go;
Answer and direct incoming phone calls;
Complete point of sale transactions following company policies;
Consult customers on paint inquiries and mix paint with accuracy;
Direct customers within the store and advise customers on product;
Stock and face shelves with incoming product, as well as assist with overstock;
Assist customers with carry outs;
Merchandise the store as well as front lobby. This will require heavy lifting, such as bags of salt, soil, cans of paint, etc.
Support with inventory counts;
Assist customers with cutting keys and mixing paint, as required;
Assist with general cleaning duties, as required;
Complete all other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will:

Have previous experience handling cash and processing debit and visa payments;
Have proven customer service skills, previous retail experience required;
Be a quick learner, have strong computer skills and be detailed oriented;
Be a true team player and willing to help out other departments as needed;
Be available to work every other Saturday;
Be able to lift 20-50lbs as needed.
