Job Description

Golf Maintenance Labourer (Seasonal)

For their breathtaking natural scenery, unique settings and legendary design, the golf courses of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts are destinations in themselves. With your care and attention to superior golf course conditioning, our courses will provide an immaculate backdrop to an exceptional golf experience.

Starting Rate of Pay: $17.40 per hour

Your Job Duties Include:

Operate equipment and power tools, including utility vehicles, mowers and tractors
Mow, trim, irrigate, and fertilize turf areas
Edge, rake and maintain sand traps and cart paths
Set tee markers and hole placement on greens
Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis and ensure all equipment is clean and in safe working order
Report equipment problems or failures immediately

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Previous Golf Maintenance or Landscaping experience an asset
Valid Alberta Driver’s License required
Must have a reasonable understanding of the game of golf
Ability to work outdoors in various elements such as rain, heat & snow required
CPR and First Aid Certificates an asset
Machine operating experience an asset: snowplow, grader & blade, bobcat, john deere tractors 5200, 670, 855 & 3320
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
