Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cable systems and network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of network architecture and the ability to work with various technologies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
This is a Contract Part-Time position. Work is available on a project-to-project basis.
Duties
Install, configure, and maintain cable systems, including copper, fiber optics and coaxial cables.
Perform troubleshooting on network issues to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to design and implement network architecture solutions.
Certify installations according to industry standards and best practices.
Maintain documentation of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
Go onsite to perform network installations and upgrades.
Install and configure new equipment.
Installation of CAT6 cabling.
Mount modems / access points / server racks / switches / gateways on walls or ceilings.
Cable Testing
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
Requirement - Technical Skills & Experience:
Must be able to speak fluent English.
Proven experience running and terminating copper and fiber optic cables.
Proficient with cable termination, splicing, and testing equipment
Experience mounting and configuring network equipment in server racks, cabinets, or wall-mounted enclosures.
Ability to interpret technical plans, network diagrams, and cabling schematics.
Familiarity with identifying existing cable paths and assessing new routing options.
Must have own vehicle for transportation.
Must have basic tools. (Power drill, screwdriver, plier and etc.)
Proficient with hand tools, ladder work and repair)

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
Schedule:
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
