Job Description

The Oil Sands Royalty Analyst (AIT) is a member of the Oil Sands Royalty Group, assisting with the OSR royalty reporting for the OSR projects located within the Company’s extensive thermal, E&P and mining oil sands asset base. You will have the unique opportunity to work with various teams in the Company, including operations, while broadening your finance and industry knowledge.

Job location : Calgary, Alberta
Shift schedule: 5 x 2 - Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day

Key Accountabilities:

Analyze and prepare monthly OSR project royalty reports
Analyze and prepare annual OSR project End-of-Period Statements
Assist with OSR royalty audits
Assist in preparing OSR royalty forecasts
Assist in preparing applications for new OSR projects and for expansions to currently approved OSR projects
Assist in the completion of special projects

What you Bring to the Role:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
Currently enrolled in, or eligible to enroll in CPA Professional Education Program
Familiarity with and understanding of:
Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
EnterpriseOne or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software
Data Access Studio
Attention to detail and strong analytical and organizational skills
Effective written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently within a team environment
Experience in the oil and gas industry considered an asset
