Financial Controller

Burly Boyz Moving is a leading Canadian moving company with four locations across Canada; Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto. We conduct local moves and offer storage in each market, however, our specialty is in Interprovincial moving. We are around 60 employees and operate 14 Moving Trucks across Canada. We are seeking a Part-Time Financial Controller to provide high-level financial oversight on a remote basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations and oversee financial audits.
Monitor cash flow and financial health of the company.
Provide strategic financial guidance to optimize profitability.
Work closely with bookkeepers and external accountants to maintain financial accuracy.
File GST returns.
Create a more efficient job costing system.
Assist with setting our prices to customers.

Qualifications:

CPA designation or equivalent preferred.
5+ years of experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role.
Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards, IFRS/GAAP, and tax laws.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:

Wage is negotiable and the wage that was posted was based on Indeed's suggestion.
Hours are flexible.
Fully remote position within Canada.
Benefits are also an option.
