Job Description

Whitebird is a leading distributor and manufacturer of corrugated solutions, packaging, sanitation, safety, and shipping supplies headquartered in Hamilton, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
Perform account reconciliation to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
Assist in budgeting processes and provide variance analysis.
Conduct account analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
Process payroll accurately and on time using appropriate accounting software.
Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis efforts.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all accounting practices.

Experience

Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the finance sector.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with account reconciliation, budgeting, accounts receivable, and payroll processing is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with relevant experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
