Job Description: Faculty Position for Online MBA Program

Position Title: Faculty – Online MBA Program

Department: Centre for Distance and Online Education

Reports To: Director - Centre for Distance and Online Education

Employment Type: Full-Time

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in business education, a commitment to teaching excellence, and the ability to engage and inspire students. Faculty members will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, developing course materials, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our online MBA program.

Key Responsibilities:

 Teaching:

o Deliver engaging and effective instruction in MBA courses, both online and in- person.

o Develop and update course lecture materials, and assessments.

o Use innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement.

o Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their performance.

o Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

 Research and Scholarship:

o Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations.

o Stay current with developments in the field of business and management.

o Contribute to the academic community through participation in conferences

and professional organizations.

 Service:

o Participate in departmental and university committees and initiatives.

o Mentor and advise students on academic and career matters.

o Engage in community service and outreach activities.

​

 Professional Development:

o Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching and research skills.

o Participate in faculty development programs and workshops.

​

Qualifications:

 Education:

o A PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

o An MBA with significant professional experience may be considered for certain positions.

o Specializations: Technology Management, Statistics, Economics, Finance & Accounting, Operations Management.

​

 Experience:

o Demonstrated experience in teaching MBA or graduate-level business courses.

o A strong record of scholarly research and publications (preferred).

o Relevant industry experience in business or management (preferred).

 Skills:

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

o Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

o Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning.

o Strong organizational and time-management skills.
