The Housing Industry Association (HIA) is the official body of Australia’s home building industry. As the only national industry association for Australian building professionals, we represent the interests of the housing industry at regional and national levels.

We have been representing the Australian housing industry for 80 years. Our vision remains the same, to be an association that speaks with a united voice on industry issues and creates real change, providing quality services at the lowest cost and working with the sector to maintain high standards.

An exciting role has become available in HIA’s Gold Coast office. The Regional/Area Manager – Gold Coast & Northern Rivers will ensure that HIA in the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers regional area is the voice of the residential building industry and the building practitioner’s indispensable business partner.

The role services the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers area and is primarily accountable for:

membership sales growth, retention, engagement and satisfaction;
increasing the Association’s profile in the area;
local activities such as events, awards, partnerships, attendance at members and stakeholders’ offices;
supporting sales of commercial products;
staff management and office/property management;
operational success in the region.

To be considered a successful candidate for this role you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:

leadership experience including managing teams and responsibility for achieving commercial outcomes;
experience in managing within a regional and national business model;
customer service oriented;
ability to procure new business opportunities;
ability to handle competing priorities and work to tight deadlines;
good computer skills with experience using MS Office products, including CRM;
be flexible and willing to learn.
