Job Description

Your career in healthcare made personal

At Medibank we’ve recently unified our health services under one brand – Amplar Health.

With over 1000 employees, our nurses, GPs and other amazing allied health professionals our focus is on improving healthcare experiences and championing greater access, choice, and control for people in Australia when it comes to managing their health.

Part time, fixed term opportunity to 30th November 2026

Amplar Home Health is a leading provider in home health care services including services for acute and subacute episodes of care. Hospital in the home (HITH) involves the care of patients who would otherwise require in hospital care, typically relating to wound care, treatment of infections, and management of exacerbations of chronic disease. Rehabilitation in the home (RITH) involves the care of patients who would otherwise receive their rehabilitation in an inpatient rehab unit. These patients are typically post-surgical (joint replacement) or require a period of reconditioning following an acute medical event.

As part of our commitment to advancing patient care, we are seeking dedicated medical practitioners to play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of medical management for our patients. The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing expert medical advice and support to patients, Amplar Health teams and health practitioners, both employed and contracted, involved in the management of acute and subacute care in the home.
