General Labourer

Job duties: • The installation of glass railings and/or glass pool surrounds. • Load/unload materials and equipment, complete installations, site clean-up within established time frames. • Direct and oversee the work of installers for a variety of applications. • Set up and tear-down at Trade Shows, as needed. • Photograph sites for possible use on social media. • Arrange for product shipment and delivery. • Report to and work closely with immediate Supervisor. Requirements: • Operate various power tools, machines and other tools as directed. • Responsible for the correct installation of glass railings and fences by adhering to installation guide and Ontario Building Code. • Knowledge, understanding and adherence to the Ontario Health and Safety Act and relevant codes, standards and specifications. • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) to direct and teach installers and address client questions. • Proven problem-solving and organizational skills. • Ability to work in a variety of different conditions (indoors, outdoors, varying temperatures). • Able to read blueprints and architectural drawings, as needed. • Follow all safety procedures, including wearing safety shoes and helmets, if needed. • Maintain courses for working at heights, WHIMIS or other courses as needed. • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads and move heavy glass panels safely. • Ability to work flexible start and end times and (occasional) weekends, as needed. • Valid class G drivers' license and ability to get to and from the warehouse, in Orillia, for work. • Trained in forklift operation and safety is an asset. • Maintain a safe and clean job site, including picking up all trash. Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
