Job Description

Overview:

Casper Mobility is seeking a forward-thinking Aerodynamics Advisor to help shape the flight efficiency, stability, and overall performance of our next-generation electric aerial vehicles. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in fluid dynamics, lift/drag optimization, and applied aeronautical design, ideally with VTOL, drone, or lightweight aircraft applications.

This role will advise our design and engineering teams on aerodynamic performance, simulation validation, and airframe optimization for the Air Casper vehicle family (AC1–AC4).



Responsibilities:

Provide expert guidance on aerodynamic system performance and airframe refinement.
Review CFD analyses and offer insights for optimizing lift-to-drag ratios, stability, and control surfaces.
Support the integration of propulsion and aerodynamic modeling.
Advise on testing protocols, wind tunnel validation, and simulation parameters.
Collaborate with structural, propulsion, and systems engineering teams to align on design decisions.


Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
7+ years experience in aerodynamic design, preferably in VTOL, eVTOL, or UAV sectors.
Proficiency in CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, STAR-CCM+).
Familiarity with FAA or Transport Canada certification standards is a plus.
Strong communication and advisory skills for team collaboration.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00-$145,000.00 per year
