Retail Sales Associate

Footloose Shoes is a locally owned boutique in downtown Victoria, BC, that has been in business since 1+83. Our focus is fashion forward, high quality women’s footwear and accessories.

We’re looking to fill a key holder full-time sales and digital inventory position with the opportunity to advance into an assistant management role. This is a highly integrated position within our business that requires someone that can foresee themselves being a longterm team member.

The right candidate is:

Keen on fashion and personal style—you must love shoes!
Self-motivated to make sales and confident approaching and handling customers in a busy retail environment
A people person with great social skills and the ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with a variety of people and personality types to create an elevated customer experience
Highly competent in multi-tasking, problem solving, and working independently
Comfortable participating in social media production and engaging creatively with digital marketing
Eager to learn and build on product knowledge, as well as willing to develop your skillset and responsibilities within our team
Enthusiastic about small, sustainable business and the impact of shopping local
Job qualifications:

Completion of high school diploma
Retail sales or customer service experience is required
Proficiency with computers and digital data entry (experience with Lightspeed or similar point-of-sales system is a bonus)
Comfortable and competent working the cash register
Physical capability to stand for long periods of time with lots of walking, bending, and lifting
Wage:

Probationary and training starting wage of $24/hour. After a three month probation and performance review, a higher wage will be negotiated.
