Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body man/ Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating beautiful finishes and a strong understanding of various painting techniques. This role requires an eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality results in both residential and commercial projects.

Duties

Perform Vehicle Body Repairs:
Inspect and repair vehicle frames, panels, and structures using appropriate tools and techniques, including welding, sanding, filling, and aligning body components.

Dent & Collision Damage Repair:
Repair or replace damaged parts due to collisions, including fenders, bumpers, doors, and other body parts, ensuring vehicles are restored to pre-accident condition.

Surface Preparation & Finishing:
Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, masking, and applying primers and sealers; assist in blending and matching paint for seamless finishes.

Estimate Damage & Document Work:
Assist in preparing repair estimates and maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job.

Maintain Shop Safety & Cleanliness:
Follow all safety protocols, use personal protective equipment, and ensure the work area is clean and organized at all times.

Qualifications

Proven Experience:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in auto body repair, frame straightening, and collision damage repair.

Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of automotive body structures, repair techniques, and the use of related tools and equipment.

Skilled in Welding & Fabrication:
Experience with MIG/TIG welding and metal fabrication is a strong asset.

Attention to Detail:
Ability to accurately assess damage, follow repair plans, and deliver high-quality workmanship.

Valid Driver’s License:
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to move vehicles in and out of the shop.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.55-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
