Job Description

Job Summary
The Canning Line Production Lead plays a critical role in overseeing the production line within our beverage production line environment. The Canning Line Production Lead is responsible for leading the production team during planning and production runs, meeting company production targets while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

The Canning Line Production Lead assists in planning, setting up production, operates processing equipment, packages and labels products, and maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas. The Canning Line Production Lead will be required to work closely with other departments. This position reports to the General Manager and may be required to work late afternoon shifts.

Duties

Operate a first-class beverage canning production line
Assist with the packaging of bottled water on the bottling line
Monitor finished products to ensure they are produced and packaged according to specifications
Plan, supervise and assist in facility cleaning, sanitation and maintain an organized warehouse
Perform routine checks to ensure proper and consistent operation of machinery
Develop and maintain SOPs for the canning line
Maintain and review daily, weekly and monthly production and sanitation checklists
Be a team player and assist other members of the production and warehousing team.
Applicants must be on occasion willing to work weekdays and/or late afternoons and possibly weekend shifts
Able to withstand physically demanding conditions (such as lifting up to 35 lbs)
Transport raw materials, and finished products throughout the facility manually or using powered equipment
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and extended periods of standing
Other duties as assigned by Management
Skills

Prior experience in beverage operations, preferably 1-2 years, would be advantageous
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in a food or beverage manufacturing setting is desirable
Familiarity with food safety regulations, tank cleaning/carbonating/filling processes, and blending techniques is beneficial
Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills are advantageous for this role.
Understanding of food processing principles is a plus
Attention to details with good verbal and written skills for communicating effectively with others
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Meticulous, fast worker, fast learner and very resourceful
Must be punctual and diligent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1+.50-$21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
