Power BI Engineer

Job Overview:
The Power BI Intermediate Engineer is a mid-level professional responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using Power BI. This role involves a deeper understanding of data analytics and visualization, as well as the ability to work independently and guide junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Data Visualization and Reporting: Develop complex and dynamic visualizations and reports in Power BI. Innovate and implement best practices in data presentation.
Data Analysis and Insight Generation: Perform in-depth data analysis to extract actionable insights. Use advanced analytical techniques and query languages like SQL and DAX.
BI Solutions Development and Optimization: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient BI solutions. Optimize existing Power BI dashboards and reports for performance and usability.
Data Modelling and Warehousing: Develop robust Power BI data models and Implement data cleansing, transformation, and preparation processes as required.
Team Collaboration and Leadership: Lead small teams or projects. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams for BI project success.
Documentation: Assist in creating documentation for BI solutions

Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling. Familiarity with SQL and other database technologies.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret and analyse data effectively.
Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to present complex data in an understandable way.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under senior supervision.
Experience:
5-6 years of overall data warehousing and reporting experience
4 plus years of experience in design and development of data visualization using Power BI Data Visualization tool
