Edith Cowan University invites applications for a Records Appraisal Officer Pool. This role is crucial for managing and preserving the integrity of our inactive records in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. We are seeking diligent and detail-oriented individuals to join our casual pool and contribute to the effective management of university records.

Key Responsibilities:
Record Appraisal: Assess and appraise university records according to the State Records Office of WA General Disposal Authorities and the WA University Sector Disposal Authority.
Data Entry: Enter inactive university records into the record-keeping system following specific procedures and guidelines.
Records Movement: Assist in the transport of records to and from the university campuses and the offsite storage provider.
Confidential Disposal: Order confidential disposal bins and manage the disposal of records approved for destruction.
Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks across the recordkeeping system to maintain data integrity, as directed.
Reporting: Assist the City Campus Coordinator - Records Management and Archives Coordinator with producing project completion reports for internal clients and prepare routine statistical reports related to the project.
Compliance and Safety: Participate in planning activities, adhere to university policies, and ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Equal Opportunity (EO) requirements

Requirements:
Proven experience or strong interest in records management, particularly record appraisal.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
