Job Description
The Generalist team at Bryan & Company LLP is comprised of Legal Assistants with an interest in both corporate commercial and litigation practice areas. The Generalists play a critical role in ensuring the successful and consistent delivery of legal support across the firm. Our Generalists work collaboratively with Legal Assistants to provide extra assistance on large files, to meet critical deadlines and to provide coverage when others are out of the office. This position provides an opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of practice areas and gain mentorship from our team of talented legal professionals.
Responsibilities
Word processing of correspondence and legal documents from dictation, handwritten or other forms of instruction;
File maintenance including daily filing (electronic or paper), file organization, opening files, closing files, maintain client file lists;
Preliminary drafting of correspondence and legal documents;
Conduct searches, legal research and gather relevant information for cases; and
Administrative support including binder preparation, time entry and bill preparation.

Education & Experience
Post-secondary education in legal administration, paralegal studies or equivalent;
Entry level role with some previous experience required;
Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite;
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills;
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; and
Demonstrated commitment to upholding confidentiality and professional standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
