Summer Student- Administrative Assistant
Volunteer Kamloops
Do you want to be a part of a dynamic team that makes a difference within the community of Kamloops and the surrounding areas? If you are interested in gaining skills this summer while making a difference in the community this job could be for you!
Volunteer Kamloops is looking for a responsible Summer Student- Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative tasks, mainly surrounding marketing of VK event.
Your impact at Volunteer Kamloops:
· Develop marketing content calendar.
· Work at some city events for promotional outreach
· Plan and schedule marketing media posts and engagements.
· Website or marketing support.
· Work with community partners
· Other duties as assigned.
Who you are and what you have:
· Marketing experience/knowledge is a necessity
Thorough, timely, and able to multi-task and meet deadlines
· Demonstrated ability to be independent, responsible, creative, and innovative
· Thorough, timely, and able to multi-task and meet deadlines
· Strong time management skills and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Problem solving skills
Eligibility Requirements:
· MUST BE BETWEEN 15 to 30 YEARS OF AGE
· Must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Who We Are
Since 1+85, Volunteer Kamloops has recruited and referred volunteers to our members who could be a non-profit organization or anyone taking on a volunteer project in the community. We are a Registered Charity (132712670RR0001) and a BC Society with our own voluntary Board of Directors.
A key annual event is National Volunteer Week during the third week of April. Through training and networking opportunities, we support the efforts of organizations to provide high-quality volunteer programs and opportunities. Our staff members participate on community committees and collaborations to achieve shared needs or address issues that affect voluntary agencies. We advocate on behalf of volunteers and the value of voluntary service in all aspects of our work.
Hours of Work:
Flexible. 30 hours minimum. 40 hours maximum.

Pay: $17.40 per hour
