Japanese Bar - Line Cook or Kitchen Helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Line Cook or Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team for our Japanese Bar. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient food preparation process. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen while supporting cooks and chefs in meal preparation and food service.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Help with food handling and storage to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Support cooks during meal preparation by providing necessary supplies and ingredients.
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting low supplies.
Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
A passion for cooking and the food industry is highly desirable.

Pay: From $17.40 per hour
