Skilled Construction Worker

HB&R Construction Ltd. is looking for an eager individual to fill a Skilled Carpenter position. We are looking to build a team that is passionate about their work and strive for quality. The opportunity to progress into management is available for the right individual.

Responsibilities:

ICF Construction - Concrete footings, ICF block assembly, wood forming and rebar installation
General Construction - Wood framing, steel framing, other various tasks involved with the construction process
Assembling and disassembling scaffolding
Loading and unloading of materials, tools and equipment
Assisting coworkers as required
Maintaining site cleanliness
Following all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:

At least 5 years of hands-on experience working in the construction industry, including framing and concrete forming work.
Experience with ICF construction is an asset.
Good communication skills and fluent in writing and speaking English.
Experience with reading and interpreting architectural drawings is an asset.
Excellent Math Skills
Minimum Requirements:

Personal hand tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
First Aid
WHMIS
Valid Working At Heights Certification
Valid Ontario G Class drivers license
Own vehicle and clean driving record
Valid Canadian Working Visa or Canadian Citizen
