Labourer

The Ministry of Highways is seeking candidates for summer employment as General Labourer/Flag Person for various section offices.

As a labourer/flag person in a Section crew, you will:

Provide traffic control (e.g. flagging);
Clean the shop;
Assist others with culvert maintenance, crack filling and directing traffic;
Clean up after accidents (e.g. debris, clutter, animals);
Establish work zones and erect appropriate signs;
Replace broken signs; and
Paint.
As a member of a team who ensures public safety, you will have the opportunity to work with new and advanced technologies and equipment.

To qualify for this position, you must hold a valid class 5 drivers' license. Candidates must be able to perform the duties of this position in a safe manner.

Hours of Work: C - SGEU Regulated 37.33 - one day off every three weeks
