Field Erector / Labourer - Full-time

FIELD ERECTOR

L.A. Metal Buildings is a trusted name in the manufacturing of self-framing buildings, with over 30 years of experience serving oil and gas, communications, and commercial construction sites.

We are currently looking for a Full-time Field Labourer, to join our dynamic team.

Reporting directly to the Field Erection Services Lead, the Field Erector is responsible for general labor duties in the Field and in assisting the Field Erection Services Lead with assembly, erection, and installation of ancillary equipment as required, in accordance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards. The Field Erector has the following key responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

· General labor duties within the Field.

· Assist the Field Erection Services Lead with assembly, erection and installation of ancillary equipment (if required).

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

· Grinding, cutting, buffing, drilling and other field labour requirements.

· Contribute to and promote ideas for improving operations and processes, particularly as they relate to field operations.

Qualification Requirements:

· A minimum of one (1) year experience in the construction industry

· Ability to lift 50 lbs.

· CSTS 2020

· Fall Protection certification

· Man Lift/AWP/EWP certification

· Driver’s license

· Reliable transportation for driving to job sites

· Good communication skills

· Clean criminal record

· Able to work at heights (ladders, manlifts, etc.)

· Experience using hand tools (drills, grinders, etc.)

· Cladding or metal building installation experience is an asset

· Must be able to work out of town as required

· Availability to work from 6:00 a.m. to 16:30 p.m. Monday to Friday

This position is full-time, 40 hours a week with the potential for overtime.
