Summer Production Student

Job Opportunity

The Production Summer Students are required to provide vacation relief on our manufacturing floor from May to the end of August. The Summer Student must be able to work 40-hour weekly shift and will be assigned to one of the shifts; days, afternoons or nights and must have the ability to rotate shifts if required.
Safety, quality and attendance are key components of the job.

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Converting or Corrugator Supervisor, you will be required to:
Work as part of a team, you will be responsible for the daily production of quality corrugated products in a safe and efficient manner
Feed corrugated stock into the machines or pack boxes
Demonstrate attention to detail by ensuring order specs and special requirements are accurately followed
Perform production quality checks according to Smurfit Westrock production requirements
Work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, a quality product, and a satisfied customer
Maintain proper housekeeping practices to ensure a safe work environment
Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:
Must be at least 18 year of age or older
Enrolled in a post-secondary education
Able to work one of the 3 shifts available, as assigned
