Job Description
Responsibilities will include:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Leading the Finance department, which includes general accounting, cost management, budgeting, and /or IT.
Collaborate with FCL and other Local Co-ops to ensure consistency of programs and strategies across the CRS.
Develop and execute the overall financial strategy for Local Co-ops, including mergers and acquisitions, accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, tax, and external investment activities.
Develop and foster strong working relationships within the leadership team and participate in strategic planning.
Develop and implement the department's business plan and associate budget.
Provide leadership to the Finance team, which includes team members and team leaders. Responsible for the talent management cycle, including recruitment, development and training, performance management, etc.
Forecast and anticipate business challenges and opportunities and ensure the company’s financial and regulatory compliance.
Provide guidance and support to leaders in preparing budgets, forecasts, and implementing established financial policies, procedures, and practices.
We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
Co-operative Retailing System experience an asset along with any of the following:
CPA designation
Bachelor’s degree
equivalent set of educational credentials
A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a management role.
Proven ability to lead teams through system changes and effectively administer change management processes.
Demonstrates a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
Recognized for honesty, trustworthiness, and a results-oriented approach, consistently striving for excellence in all endeavors.
Strong advocate for collaboration, relationship building, and valuing diverse perspectives.
