Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP financial regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting. There is a large focus on revenue recognition with this position.
Duties
Calculate POC accounting revenue on monthly basis.
Calculate cost of sale accounting
Prepare monthly journal entries for assigned areas of responsibility.
Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Provide monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis.
Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing relevant financial information and analysis.
Participate in internal and external financial and government audits.
Key participant in the annual physical inventory process.
Perform data validation to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement in financial processes.
Analyze accounts to provide insights into financial performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support corporate finance initiatives.
Report directly to the Site Controller.
Skills
Experience with ASC-606 POC accounting
Knowledge of US GAAP principles
Exposure to a multi-currency environment
Experience with SOX compliance would be an asset.
Strong understanding of corporate finance principles and practices.
Proficiency in account reconciliation, budgeting, and financial auditing.
Ability to perform detailed account analysis to support decision-making processes.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
CPA designation is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a similar position within a manufacturing company.
