Job Description

Solar Technician / Electrician

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Solar Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a 1st or 2nd year apprentice with experience or strong interest in solar installations, maintenance, and renewable energy systems.

Location: Saskatoon Head Office, located at English River First Nation Grasswoods Reserve #1+2J

Key Responsibilities

Install, inspect, test, and maintain solar power systems
Coordinate with residential, commercial, and industrial customers for the successful installation of renewable energy projects
Support construction cost estimating of solar projects
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
Ensure compliance with all safety and electrical codes
Collaborate with team members and site supervisors to complete projects on time and on budget
Provide mentorship and support to apprentices and trainees when applicable
Qualifications

1st or 2nd year electrical apprentice.
Good aptitude for mechanical and construction
Experience with solar PV systems considered an asset
Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety protocols
Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a remote or on-reserve setting
Valid driver’s license
