ENG-TECH Consulting Limited is seeking a motivated and curious individual who is physically fit, likes working outside, is a self-starter and doesn’t mind getting a little dirty. We are a concrete, soils and asphalt lab that needs help with building, compound, fleet and equipment maintenance.

Position Description

As a successful applicant, you will assist in many aspects of the operation of a busy laboratory and engineering firm.

Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment and keep detailed and accurate records of this maintenance. Maintenance records are vital for the company’s certification.
Assist laboratory staff and dispatch with record keeping of testing and equipment maintenance.
Assist laboratory technologists with clean up and disposal of concrete, asphalt and/or soil after testing – this may include helping to load and unload equipment onto/from trucks.
Assist with the maintenance of the company vehicle fleet – this may include washing trucks, conducting daily or weekly vehicle maintenance along with monitoring vehicle equipment lists, and ensuring vehicles are equipped with required safety equipment.
Assisting with construction related activities at the company site – this may include physical labour like spreading and compacting gravel in the compound, acting as a builder helper with renovations in the laboratory and the building.
Complete errands such as picking up lab supplies or equipment.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must be professional, self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills related to mechanical, plumbing, equipment and facility maintenance. A Class 5 driver’s license required. Experience with maintenance in a commercial or industrial building is an asset.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
