Position Information
Dunedoo Central School (DCS) is situated in a small, rural community 80 km north of Mudgee. It provides a quality education from Kindergarten to Year 12, with a school population of 172 students, including 24% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. The school boasts a staff of 22 teachers and 22 support staff who offer a rich and varied curriculum. As a Central School, there is a strong emphasis placed on literacy and numeracy achievement, a sense of family and community, regular whole school activities as well as a wide variety of extra-curricular and cultural events. Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Library (primary and/or secondary) and currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships to engage the whole school community.

High level technology skills with the capacity to develop and maintain a modern, innovative library that supports and inspires teaching and learning across the entire school.

Demonstrated capacity to be highly involved in and make positive contributions to whole school literacy programs.


Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.


Special Notes
This is a permanent part time position for 3 days per week 0.6FTE (Full-time equivalent)

If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months
