The Branksome Hotel & Residences (TBHR), situated within walking distance of Mascot Station and the Domestic airport, provides luxury serviced apartments for short or long stay guests. We are looking for experienced Duty Manager to join our Front Office team in a full-time capacity.


Reporting to the Front Office Manager, as the Duty Manager, your primary responsibilities include but not limited to:


Actively resolve guest complaints and challenges
Lead by example when attending to guest requests; being proactive and resourceful
Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using Opera Cloud
Assist food and beverage department during all day services where required
Assist in replying to guest reviews on OTA and social networks.
General front office administration duties
Daily accounting data entry and reconciliation
Develop and motivate the Front Office team
Act as a role model for the Front Office team
Hotel security
To be successful in this role you must have:


Experience in a similar role within a 4 to 5-star hotel environment
An approach to guest service that is second to none
Exceptional customer service skills, communication, presentation and time management skills
Previous experience with a property management and point of sales system preferably Opera Cloud version and MICROS Symphony.
A friendly and outgoing personality
A willingness to use initiative and strong problem solving skills
Strong analytical skills with a high level of computer literacy and accuracy
Attention to detail and understanding of basic accounting processes
A strong background knowledge in both Front Office and Reservations
Senior First Aid Certificate
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
The availability to work across a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, early mornings, late evenings, and overnight shifts as required.
