Technical Writer Level 3

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Writer for a contract engagement with one of our clients.

Required: Government of Canada Security Clearance

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and research skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation that meets the needs of our audience. This role is essential in translating complex technical information into user-friendly content, ensuring that all materials are accurate and accessible.

Duties

Develop, write, and edit technical documents, including user manuals, product specifications, and training materials.
Conduct thorough research to gather information from subject matter experts and existing documentation.
Utilize word processing software to create and format documents that adhere to company standards.
Proofread and revise content for clarity, grammar, and consistency.
Create visual aids using tools such as Visio to enhance understanding of complex concepts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of technical content.
Maintain an organized repository of documentation for easy access by team members.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
Proficient in word processing software.
Excellent research skills to gather information from various sources.
Detail-oriented with strong proofreading capabilities.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Familiarity with industry standards for technical documentation is preferred.
