Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and passionate Commi I specializing in South Indian Cuisine to join our culinary team in Mysuru, India. As a Commi I, you will play a crucial role in preparing authentic South Indian dishes, ensuring the highest quality and taste for our guests.
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of various South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, and curries
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques as directed by senior chefs
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and safety practices
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow
• Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
• Participate in menu planning and development of new South Indian dishes
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Qualifications
• Proficiency in South Indian cooking techniques and methods
• In-depth knowledge of South Indian ingredients, spices, and flavor profiles
• Excellent knife skills and food presentation abilities
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• 1-2 years of experience in South Indian cuisine preparation
• Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification (preferred)
• Valid food safety certification
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong team player with good communication abilities
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Passion for South Indian cuisine and commitment to culinary excellence
