Junior Accountant

We are a mid sized public accounting firm serving small businesses across the country for more than 20 years. The current business growth have opened 2 positions for entry level junior accountants. The ideal candidate will have a minimum qualification of a graduate degree in accounting and/or related stream. Prior experience in public accounting is preferred but not a must. The individual should be proficient in English language, demonstrate good knowledge of accounting principles and rules, ability to meet deadlines, be a team player and offer pleasant attitude.

As a junior accountant, you will be going through information and documents provided by clients, sort expenses, post journal entries, record bank statements and reconcile, post adjusting entries up to trial balance. You will assist other team members as and when required. You will communicate constantly with clients and also with tax authorities. You will be required to work most of the time with QuickBooks, Xero and MS office. Some Saturdays required and Sundays too during the busy tax season.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
