Job Description
Responsibilities:
Oversee and review personal, corporate income tax returns, T4’s and T5’s
Detailed review of Notice to Reader financial statements
Responsible for identifying and resolving engagement issues.
Foster a positive, professional, and constructive environment for clients and staff
Communicating with clients, other professionals and CRA
Manage workflow internally as well as provide staff with daily guidance, coaching, and development.
Educating and mentoring staff with respect to engagement performance and current accounting and taxation issues
Work directly with the Partner to complete tax research and ad-hoc consulting engagements as required.
Conduct research on technical matters related to client situations to answer client queries or solve problems
Review HST, CEWS, CERS filings and payroll schedules
Track client deadlines and assist with scheduling to ensure work is completed and filed on time
Qualifications
2 years plus of accounting firm work experience.
Experience in performing personal tax T1 and T2
Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises
Strong corporate and personal taxation knowledge
Strong knowledge of Tax software, Office365, and Quickbooks.
Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and to effectively manage a team
Be adaptable to learning new technologies and processes to help improve efficiency and provide a better user experience for our clients

Salary will be determined based on experience and other relevant factors

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
