Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Co-Executive Director Opportunity at College Park l Retirement Residence located Regina, Saskatchewan.

As our Co- Executive Director you will be responsible for directing, managing, overseeing, and maintaining the overall operations of our residence activities, both internal and external and assuring quality care is provided to our residents.

You will promote public relations, provide leadership, and possess interpersonal skills, as well as the skills necessary to make independent decisions.

Requirements:

Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is preferred.
Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must possess the ability to create long term planning strategies.
Experience in administration and supervision.
Possesses working knowledge of appropriate legislation.
Must possess valid Driver’s License.
Have several years’ experience in a senior position within a working in a unionized environment interpreting, understanding, and managing under a collective agreement.
Experience is a senior position in a healthcare setting would be an asset.
Proven financial experience.
Must have proficient computer skills using Microsoft office applications.
Flexible work schedule is required.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain occupancy according to budget expectations.
Effectively manage all services of the Residence, including Food Service, Maintenance, Nursing, Health & Wellness, Marketing & Sales, Administration and any commercial affiliations.
Review, approve, and direct all monthly invoices to head office for payment.
Collaborate with the development, interpretation, and implementation of policies and procedures and communicate it to appropriate staff.
Aid in preparation of the annual budgets; operational and capital.
Ensure the smooth operation of the residence while maintaining tight control of budget and variances to budget.
Communicate on a regular basis with the residents and their families, including meeting with residents/families to resolve problems/ concerns/ complaints, and reviewing suggestions on a need be basis.
Maintain proper staffing hours in conjunction with annual budgets.
Perform evaluations on department heads and reviews their work progress regularly.
Ensure that the residence wide quality improvement program is implemented and ongoing.
Other functions that may be required.
