Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and professional bouncer to join our team in a busy bar and restaurant setting in Northeast Calgary. As a bouncer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both patrons and staff. You will enforce our establishment’s policies, manage crowd control, and ensure that all guests follow safety guidelines. Your presence will help maintain a welcoming atmosphere while preventing any disruptive behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor the premises to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.
Enforce house rules and policies, including checking IDs and refusing entry to intoxicated or underage individuals.
Maintain crowd control, particularly during peak hours, ensuring guests behave appropriately.
Handle difficult situations with tact, de-escalating conflicts, and diffusing potentially violent situations.
Work closely with bar staff and management to address security-related concerns and maintain an efficient workflow.
Ensure all guests are greeted respectfully and with courtesy while maintaining authority when needed.
Document any incidents or disturbances in a clear, detailed manner, and provide incident reports to management.
Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary for issues related to criminal behavior or violence.
Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a bouncer or in a similar security role, preferably in a bar or nightclub environment.
Valid Pro tec
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally.
Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response protocols.
Physical fitness to stand for long periods and handle physically demanding situations.
Knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding alcohol service, crowd control, and public safety.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
