Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role requires a strong understanding of different flooring systems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas accurately.
Install various types of flooring, including vinyl, laminate, carpet, and hardwood.
Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and applying necessary adhesives or underlayments.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations.
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure precise installation according to specifications.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and painters, to ensure seamless project completion.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the installation process.
Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to flooring installation.
Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints for accurate installations.
Strong building skills with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship.
Previous experience as a carpenter is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.64-£30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 60 per week
