Primary, Junior, and Intermediate Level Tutor

Apex Educational Consulting Services Inc. is seeking educators to join our team and provide personalized academic support to students of varying ages and skill levels. As a Tutor, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their educational goals by fostering a positive learning environment and adapting your teaching methods to meet individual needs. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in boosting confidence, enhancing understanding, and promoting a love of learning in our students.

Duties

Assess students’ individual learning needs and, when applicable, develop customized lesson and instructional materials plans based on educational standards to address specific academic challenges.
Provide one-on-one and, occasionally, small group tutoring sessions in various subject areas, including as math, science, language arts, and social sciences.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and adjusting instructional methods as necessary.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning and development.
Stay up-to-date with educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching techniques.
Assist students in developing effective study habits, time management skills, and test-taking strategies.
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and feedback for future reference.
Qualifications

Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with students in an educational setting.
OCT certification and/or experience working with students with special needs is an asset.
Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and teaching methodologies for the relevant subject areas.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and parents.
Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs and preferences.
Proficiency in using educational technology and online tutoring platforms when applicable.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking student progress and maintaining records.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate student schedules.
A background check may be required prior to employment.
Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
