About Dalhousie University
Effective September 4, 2026, there is a University Hiring Freeze. However, the Talent Pathways program will remain open, and your application will be reviewed and considered for any temporary positions that are exempt from the hiring freeze. This freeze applies to regular/ongoing positions as well as term, temporary, and casual faculty and staff positions. We anticipate the freeze to remain in effect until at least the end of our current fiscal year March 31, 2026.

Dalhousie is a leading innovative, research-intensive university, inspiring our diverse scholarly community to serve Nova Scotia, our region, our nation, and the world. We make a lasting impact by blending transformative academic programs with pioneering research on Canada’s East Coast.
Dalhousie brings together the brightest minds from diverse perspectives to drive the region’s intellectual, social, and economic development. We are committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive space for everyone who works or studies at the university.

Job Summary
Dalhousie’s Talent Pathways temporary staffing program connects skilled and talented individuals with short-term hybrid and in-person job opportunities in Faculties and Administrative Units across our East Coast campuses.
Talent Pathways supports Dalhousie’s strategic plans on equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility by reducing barriers to employment for folks who self-identify as equity-deserving. Dalhousie defines equity-deserving groups as Indigenous persons (especially Mi’kmaq), persons with a disability, racialized persons, including persons of Black/African descent (especially African Nova Scotians), women, and persons belonging to the 2SLGBTQ+ community. If you are a member of one of these equity-deserving groups, you must self-identify during the application process to be considered for this program.
