FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT

TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT


The AACSB-accredited Faculty of Management (FOM), at the University of New Brunswick

Fredericton, invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in the area of Human

Resources. The FOM has more than 700 students in the undergraduate program and

approximately 150 students in its graduate programs. Further information relating to the

The appointment will commence on January 1, 2026, or as soon thereafter as possible. This

position is subject to final budgetary approval.

The salary range and fringe benefits for this position is defined in the Association of University

of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) 2026 - 2026 Collective Agreement sections 35 and 36B.

Our Faculty offers HR Honours and Certificate programs designed to provide standards of

education and program content in alignment with professional HR competency

requirements. Accordingly, we are seeking candidates who demonstrate mastery of the HR

body of knowledge, with a strong ability to integrate theory and practice as it pertains to the

full spectrum of specialized HR functions and courses.

Applicants must possess, or be in the final stages of completing, a PhD in Human Resources

Management or in a cognate discipline that leads to sufficient HR domain-specific content

expertise.

The successful candidate must have a demonstrated record of excellence in university

teaching and research, or evidence of the potential to develop such a record. They must be

able to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in all core Human Resource

Management topics, but ideally will have teaching interests in the following areas: Training

and Development; Management Skills Development; and Performance Management.

research and teaching effectiveness, a brief statement covering research interests and
