Your Opportunity:
This is a Multisite CLXT position serving the communities of Raymond, Cardston, and Taber. Raymond Alberta is located 30 mins from Lethbridge Alberta and 1 hour from the Coutts, Montana border. The Raymond CLXT location is staffed with an experienced team of laboratory and x-ray professionals that offer strong patient focused service to their community. Cardston Alberta which is approximately 230 kms south of Calgary, 80 kms southwest of Lethbridge and 25 kms north of the State of Montana. This busy rural location serves the town as well as the surrounding communities. The Cardston location is a Lab only site, staffed with an experienced Team of laboratory professionals. Taber Alberta is located approx. 50 kilometers east of Lethbridge and 260 kilometers southeast of Calgary. Taber is a beautiful town that is known as the Corn Capital of Canada. The town has both public and separate schools and offers a temperate climate, access to state-of-the-art sports and recreation facilities and an active arts and culture scene. The Taber location is a Lab only site, staffed with an experienced Team of laboratory professionals. Relocation assistance may be available with a Return of Service Agreement.

Description:
As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Recent phlebotomy and rural experience are an asset.
