Job Description

This position is casual, and up to 12 hours per shift. Shifts may occur weekly or bi-weekly dependent on need. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required. Travel to Guelph required the evening prior, and hotel accommodations provided.

Job Responsibilities:

Packaging (~80%):

Appropriately document and maintain inventory management of all packaging material components, drug product, and medical devices, including recording all transfers in relevant inventory logs.
Complete coding order request forms for In-House Coding and Serialized Packaging Orders.
Operate, maintain and troubleshoot software and equipment for the coding and packaging of drug product.
Perform online and offline inspection of coded components, including serialized barcode verification.
Perform labelling and packaging of drug product, including appropriate vial reconciliation before and after the labelling and packaging operation.
Detect and report defects, ensure product integrity and labelling accuracy.
Prepare packaging components released by QC for packaging.
Appropriately document the activity of all packaging operations in the correct Batch Production Records (BPR).
Review/Update controlled documents related to coding and packaging.
Operate and maintain the current coding and packaging system, as well as upcoming advancements in packaging software and equipment.
Properly dispose of obsolete packaging materials.
Maintain tidy and organized workspaces.
Quality (~20%):

Inspect raw material packaging components for key quality attributes; including primary packaging (i.e., vials, stoppers, seals).
Issue BPR’s for collection, purification and compounding/filling.·
Assemble/reconcile batch record documentation for drug substance and drug product.
Package retainer samples and discard expired samples appropriately.
Ship QC samples to contract labs on a weekly basis.
Participate in 100% visual inspection of drug product.
Trend and file QC results, as required.
Other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
