Security Officer

With over 4 decades of experience and success, Rank Group has developed, owns and manages more than 5 million square feet of space, with over 500 clients spread over commercial, industrial, retail and multi-residential properties across Atlantic Canada.

We are looking to add a part-time security guard (20-25 hours/week), for our flagship building, Nova Centre. This is a one-million-square-foot mixed development space that includes : Retail space, a convention centre, commercial space, a hotel, restaurants and a 2 level parkade.

Responsibilities:

Conduct foot patrols on the premises, checking for and acting to resolve any suspicious activity;
Respond to emergency situations including power outages, fire alarms, etc. Respond to emergency requests from tenants and provide proper response (police, fire, ambulance) and provide a copy of a completed Incident Report to the Property Manager;
Respond to specific security issues (shoplifting, disruptive behaviour) and provide proper response and a written Incident Report to the Property Manager;
Program access cards, as requested, and deliver to tenant;
Provide pick-up and delivery to the tenants, as requested;
Monitor parking areas and issue parking tickets as required under the guidelines set by the Property Manager;
Provide a positive image for Page Property Management with the tenants
Work with the Property Manager to assist with tenant issues, particularly after hours, as required.
Education & Experience:

Previous experience working in a security position not required, but would be a strong asset; (willing to train motivated individuals without experience)
Relevant post-secondary education (corrections; police foundations, etc.) would be an asset, but not required.
