Offshore Oil Gas Piping Designer

Description Job description - Piping Designer / Engineer (Offshore Rigs / Platforms & Ships) Essential Experience - A Bachelor / Diploma of Engineering in Mechanical / Marine or relevant degree from recognized university / college. - Piping designer / Piping Engineer with 6-10 years of experience in Piping P&ID; design and 3D modelling of Pipe routing and Isometrics for offshore Rig / Platform & Ship. - Flow & pressure drop calculations, Equipment / Pump selection, Pipe material selection for Offshore Rig / Platform & Ship. Preferred Experience - Piping PFD and P&ID; design for different systems for offshore Rig / Platform & Ship. - Offshore Rig or Ship equipment selection, preparation of equipment specification and datasheets, Feasibility study with respect to existing onboard condition. - Proficiency and experience in creating 3D models in AutoCad, Cadworks and Solidworks. - Experience in preparing piping arrangement drawings with all details, Pipe supports, Bill of material weld etc. directly in AutoCAD. - Experience in preparing As-built drawings. - Experience in preparing General arrangement drawings for Ship / Rig & Equipment layout. - Handle complex drafting assignments under minimal supervision. - Experience in working where multiple disciplines are working together. - Manhour estimation and project scheduling. - Experience in Hull and Accommodation Outfitting will be an advantage. - Good communication skills. Matching Indicator : - A Bachelor / Diploma of Engineering in Mechanical / Marine or relevant degree. - 4-6 years of experience in Offshore & Marine piping (Offshore Rig / Platform / Ship). - Knowledge of AutoCad, Cadworks and Solidworks. Roles & Responsibilities : - Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision. - Participate in project review meetings with customer. - Coordinating with other discipline leads whenever required.
