Location: Remote (based near Toronto, ON) – 50% travel to production sites

Position Available: Immediately

Polycor Group, a world leader in the natural stone industry, is seeking for a Lead CNC Programmer. As Lead CNC Programmer at Polycor, you will oversee the programming, optimization, and performance of CNC operations dedicated to natural stone transformation. Acting as a technical reference within the team, you’ll take ownership of complex programming tasks, contribute to process improvements, and support the coordination of industrial projects. You’ll work remotely from the Toronto area and travel approximately 50% of the time to our plants to lead on-site implementations, support production teams, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and optimize CNC programs for natural stone processing using Alphacam and other CAD/CAM software.

· Collaborate remotely with engineers, production managers, and machine operators to ensure alignment on technical requirements and machine capabilities.

· Travel regularly to Polycor sites to implement programs, provide technical support, and train operators.

· Define tooling and machining parameters to ensure precision and quality.

· Identify and resolve technical issues remotely or on-site.

· Contribute to the standardization of programming methods and production processes across facilities.

· Ensure safety, quality, and operational excellence in all programming and machining activities.

Requirements :

· Collegial or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

· Solid experience in CNC programming, with leadership responsibilities or mentoring experience.

· Proficiency in Alphacam is a strong asset.

· Strong understanding of CNC machining strategies, tooling, and optimization methods.

· Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.

· Excellent problem-solving skills in a production environment.

· Fully bilingual (French and English – spoken and written).

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Windows-based systems.
